Zhewei Xie
I am a graduate student in Economics at UT Austin with a multidisciplinary background in software engineering. My research focuses on applied microeconomics, industrial organization, market design, platform economics, and public economics, with particular interest in how digital platforms use data, pricing algorithms, and institutional rules to shape competitive outcomes and social welfare. Guided by a people-centered philosophy, I aim to understand and improve the impact of these mechanisms on individual well-being and societal outcomes.
